1. OUR CLUB
The South East Warriors is a community basketball club managed solely by a volunteer committee. Our aim is to provide a supportive environment for players to embrace their love of basketball while prioritising the safety of all members.
We are looking forward to the upcoming Winter season; prior to the commencement significant planning and preparation occurs to ensure all teams are ready to take the court for the first jump ball of the season. Please always be patient and respectful to all our volunteers.
2. SEASON OVERVIEW
The 2025 Winter season will commence the weekend of Saturday 3rd/Sunday 4th May 2025.
There will be 14 rounds plus 2 rounds of finals.
There will be no games the weekend of 7th/8th June due to the King’s Birthday long weekend. There will be a midseason break during the June/July school holidays.
Team training sessions will commence the week of 28th April 2025.
Most of our Coaches are volunteers who give up their time so children can play basketball. Behind the scenes, they put in a lot of work to plan training sessions in preparation for game day. It is the club’s expectation that all players attend each weekly training session to develop their skills as individuals and as a team.
3. BY-LAW CHANGES
The Player Point System for representative players will be introduced and enforced from this Winter Season. A 12-point cap will apply to each team; teams who exceed 12 points will not be permitted to enter the competition and will require changes to their player group. Please contact your Age Group Coordinator if you require any guidance with this.
All players are required to play in their default age group as their first team.
Any representative player who plays an additional game in a higher age group will have their points halved (for the higher age group team only).
4. AGE GROUPS
Age groups for the upcoming 2025 Winter season are based on the following birth years:
*Must turn 5 years of age prior to commencement of season

You will be required to create an account in your own name as parent/guardian or use the account you created previously. Don't create the account in the child's name. Please use an email address that you will have access to over the next 12 months as PlayHQ currently doesn't provide the ability to change/update email addresses of account holders.
1. Register your eldest child.
2. Second and subsequent children; unfortunately, PlayHQ does not yet allow for registering all your children at the same time. The quickest way is to use the link again to register a second child. In the "Choose User" section select "Register New Family Member or Dependent" and in the next section select "Player" and continue. When you get to the payment section your discount is automatically applied.
3. If you are registering as Coach or Team Manager, you are required to register yourself as such. Use the link again and in the "Choose User" section select "I am registering myself" and in the next section select "Coach" or "Team Manager" and continue.

Players transferring to or from the South East Warriors must request a club transfer at the time of registration. This is completed through PlayHQ. You will be prompted to activate a club transfer request which will be sent to the departing and accepting clubs and MBA for approval.
Once approvals have been granted, you will receive an email advising that registration can be completed. This process may take a couple of days. Please note, MBA restricts the number of transfers per team.
COACHES AND TEAM MANAGERS
