WINTER 2022 REGISTRATIONS HAVE NOW CLOSED

registrations for the Winter 2022 season are now closed.

This notice contains a lot of information, so please read carefully and as always contact the club should you have any questions.  Read on for information on:

REGISTRATION

Please note that any requests to register after the closing date is at the discretion of the club and a place in a team will not be guaranteed.  Please ensure you register by the due date.  We are again using the PlayHQ platform to manage the registration process & payments.  If you have previously registered through PlayHQ please ensure that you use the same account to register this time.  If you are new you will need to create a PlayHQ account. 

PLAYER REGISTRATION

The club registration fee for this season is $270.  This will cover all regular season games.  Families with 2 or more children with the club will receive an 8% discount for the 2nd and subsequent children. There are further team fees for teams that make finals.  To get started with registration, please use this link (further instructions below):

BASKETBALL VICTORIA ANNUAL LICENCE FEE

Each junior player is charged a $25 annual fee directly to Basketball Victoria.  This fee covers player’s insurance for any basketball competition played in Victoria at any time in 12 months. 

If you have previously paid the fee within the last 12 months you will not be charged the fee if you use the same PlayHQ account to register. 

McKINNON ASSOCIATION FEE

MBA are charging a player registration fee of $84.  This is the Door Entry for Junior players for the season as well as venue entry for an unlimited number of spectators.  This will be a line item on PlayHQ which every Junior player will pay on registration.

PAYMENT METHOD

PlayHQ will accept payment by credit/debit card payable at time of registration.  If you are unable to pay with this payment method, or if you need assistance with payment, please email clubmanager@southeastwarriors.com.au

COACHES AND TEAM MANAGERS

All coaches and team managers are required to register as such through PlayHQ so you can be allocated to your team.  There is no fee associated with this.  These roles are vital to making our club and teams a success, please consider putting your hand up to support our players in what is a great fun and fulfilling contribution to our community.  All volunteers need to have a current WWCC, these are free to obtain.  Please contact the club for more information. 

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. To begin with, you'll be required to create an account in your own name as parent/guardian or use the account you created previously. Don't create the account in the child's name. Please use an email address that you will have access to over the next 12 months as PlayHQ currently doesn't provide the ability to change/update email addresses of account holders.

  2. Register your Eldest child

  3. Second & subsequent children - Unfortunately, PlayHQ doesn't yet allow for registering all your children at the same time. So, the quickest way is to use the link again to register a 2nd child. In the "Choose User" section select "Register New Family Member or Dependent" and in the next section select "Player" and continue. When you get to the payment section your discount is automatically applied.

  4. Coach or Team Manager, you're required to register yourself as such. Use the link again and in the "Choose User" section select "I am registering myself" and in the next section select "Coach" or "Team Manager" and continue.

WINTER 2022 SEASON DETAILS

This season will run over terms two and three with no games in school holidays or on long weekends.  All boys up to U18 will play on Saturday and all girls and U20 boys will play on Sunday.

30th April 2022                                 All boy’s competition commences

1st May                                               All girl’s competition commences

3rd/4th September 2022                 1st week Finals

10th/11th September 2022           Grand final weekend

There will be breaks for any long weekends and school holidays, the season will have 14 rounds and 2 finals rounds.  Grading takes place over the first 4 weeks of the season where your team may be moved divisions.  Every effort is made by Warriors to enter teams in the appropriate division that maximises enjoyment & competition, but the association ultimately determine placings.

U10                       2013/2014/2015 (Must turn 7 before the start of the season)

U18                       2005 & 2006

U20                       2003 & 2004

PLAYER CLEARANCE AND TRANSFER

Players that are moving from/to Warriors from another club must request this at the time of registration.  This is completed through PlayHQ at the time of registration. 

UNIFORMS

Uniforms are available from our website www.southeastwarriors.com.au/gear and a sizing chart is also available online.  Please get uniform orders in early so we can try and ensure that your size is available prior to the start of the season.
